    Default WTF is up with Norton anti-Virus?

    I've been have soem problems with y comp now all of a sudden this pops up, wtf have i done to get this/??

    Sounds like a spyware/virus has attacked your anti-virus.
    Good luck at getting that re-installed and working without re-installing your OS.

    Yah spyware got to it man, go download Giant AntiSpyware, run that, then get urself a new copy of Norton AntiVirus and install that after u have removed everyting with Giant

    So spysweeper, ad-aware and spy bot, must suck a lot of sick if they cant do their job.

    If all I have to do is re-instal notron it' sok, bu tnot reformatting my comp.

    Yah, they are good for freebies, but GIANT is the best I have used so far, got everything

    Guys use Avast, wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwway better, doesn't hog your resources and is free! Never got any errors or viruses with it running. Norton suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuux!

    Ever sinc eI got GIANT, I haven't gotten that pop with N.A.V and it cleane dup some othe rshit from IE.

    There are instructions online some where for removing NAV manually. Its a big pain in the ass tho, there are over 1000 registery entries.

    Buck up and switch to Symantic corporate
    Machining, Fabricating, Welding etc.

    GIANT was bought by Microsoft. The Microsoft Spyware Removal Tool Beta is available for download here:

    Also, Microsoft is planning on rolling out their anti virus software on January 17th and will be distrubuted via Windows Update.

    Thats not true. They arent supposed to have AV until longhorn in 2006.

    You're right its not true. The antivirus software is being rolled out on January 11th, 2005

    Ah, thats not really a full product though. Updating definitions once a month only is almost laughable. Not going to do anyone any good.
