    Default civic gas mileage

how many km's should i be expecting to run with a full tank?
i bought my civic not too long ago and i'm only running like 350 a tank? i find that pretty low for a civic so i know something's wrong. it might just be the way i drive

*edit*=completely stock civic and regular city driving

it depends where u drive in mostly and the mods done to ur engine

if highway driven without that much traffic i'd say it should go 430 kms
other wise 380 sounds pretty good

How many Liters is your Tank?
How many liters does it take you to travel 100 Kms in the city?

PS. I was getting ~400 kms in the city when I owned a 96 Neon.

I have a 96 Si and am getting close to 600km on a tank (mainly highway driving and never really gunning it). I'm pretty sure all Civics have a 45L gas tank..but 350 seems super low IMO...maybe 425-50, but not that low...

    Maybe check the fuel injectors??

My DX, if driven very conservatively from absolutely full to pretty much bone dry in the summer can do 700km to a tank driving pure highway. I'm finding I do about 500km's in the winter but I don't let it run down as much as in the summer. If i'm driving it in the city I find I get about 600-650km's. I'm loving every second of it being as I used to drive a Cadillac that would get 350km's to a $45 tank . I'll ask a couple pals with SI's what they get because I think you should be getting around 450-500.

my old Vx (92) in its lrime would get about 700kms on a 30L tank but when it was an ass and drove it like it was hot i would only see about 300kms, big differnec, i would say that if you are light on the gas and shifting a 3k rpms if manual then you have some sort of Fuel problem more than likely a bad 02 sensor, or cloged cat, possibly even bad MAF? not sure if curent year Civcs still run Ecu Maps?

    You should get approximately 440/tank.

Civics should do 10L/100km. Therefore, on a 44L tank, it should do 440-450.

Anything less on a stock car should be looked at. My bet is that it's the o2. When my integra o2 crapped out on me, I was doing 400km/tank highway driving!

I have a 1996 Si, and during normal fairly conservative driving i get usually between 500-550km a tank. I shift at 4000k and don't hit VTEC that often. During the summer when I do some highway driving I get above 600km a tank. 350km/tank is BRUTAL unless your hitting VTEC every shift or something

    Thats horrible
Like said above Civics have 45L tanks.. The most I have even put into my tank when filling it was about 41L.. so I have room for more mileage but driving with the gas light on is sketchy

but don't you love just gunning it in 4WD when its -20 and you cover the entire rice rocket behind you in a cloud of exhaust and you're ahead by about 30 car lengths within seconds???

Im finding my 96 Si is not getting good mileage either. I only have an Injen Intake. Other than that its stock. I am only getting 350-380 per tank as well. Starting to piss me off!!

It's winter. Idling for long periods of time and the increased compensation that the ECU has to make to keep temperatures reasonable for the first few minutes of startup do take a toll.

nope, i never hit vtech and normally the max i'll let it rev up to is like 4500rpm. just planning on changing the spark plugs and wires for now and taking a look at the fuel injectors and o2 sensors

Everyone just starts their cars and lets it run for a long time.

Why am I getting better gas mileage than civics?

    B18 with a 50L tank gets me 500-550. Shifting at under 4K.

Wow not shabby! I get about 360-440 km average per tank city driving. But I did hit 650 a tank only once when I was driving in BC
