    Seat-belts was $60 now $100
Pass vehicle stopped at crosswalk was $60 now $500

Cross the line, pay the fine... or something like that haha.

I agree with this one the most:
Pass vehicle stopped at crosswalk was $60 now $500

They increased the passing in playground fine as well didn't they? Thats another one I really agree with. The rest don't seem to increase safety.

I'm mad about this! Way too much for some things, just to make them $$ (ya ya safety and all that too). Won't affect my driving at all, just giveme worse attitude if i get caught!

Is this for Calgary or the entire province? Albertans are crazy when it comes to road rage but nothing compares to LA

Those increases are fine. The only one I am guilty of is speeding over 10. And that only went up a little bit.

Pass vehicle stopped at crosswalk was $60 now $500
Stupidest thing you could ever do. Yet it happens almost EVERY TIME someone stops for a pedestrian.

Seatbelt one is good too. I don't understand how some people can still drive around, or even ride in a car without putting the seatbelt on.

The only people increasing fines hurt are the people who are already ignoring the laws anyway. You want to drive like an idiot, be prepared to pay for it.

Not wearing a seat belt has saved a few of my loved ones about on more then one occasion. On the other hand, so has wearing a seatbelt. I think they should do a bike helmet kind of law with seatbelts...wear it till you're 18 (manditory) and then after that, it's your own choice.

Personally if someone is riding in my car, I would prefer them to wear it but some people just don't want to.

That's kind of weak in my opinion. People dying by not wearing seatbels affects us all. Our insurance premiums go up because of these untimely deaths. Is it such a big deal to buckle up?

By the way, if someone sits in the back seat without a seat belt, the chance of dying for those sitting in the front seats go up by about 50%. Probably due to getting a body onto their seats and such from behind at whatever speed they are traveling at the point of impact.
