What is with the male soap opera stars? Is that just something you can use to get the wife to show up?

...there has been more and more imports there every year I have gone. they just didn't get as much floor space last year as they were allowed the year before, they had to park end to end instead of at angles (if that makes any sense).
I might enter my car if its lowered by then because show judges are morons and the cleaner car always wins.

Not to bash anyone, but really think if your car is show worthy before entering.....Note above, you really don't leave much explanation, so I'm going by your sig! If thats what it takes to make a car show worthy, then mine could be too, but I know that would be stupid.......I really want to see more than cars with lowering springs and rims when I go....

threads on show cars vs. cars that are "modded" and who enter are huge on Beyond...

take a look at threads right after V8Less events, or Import Showoff's and they are abundant...we have had threads about engine/suspensions Mods vs. those of body kits, wings, and neon. Last may I had entered my DSM into the VUB event and I have to say I had a BLAST...and I think this is what these shows should offer the enthusiast vs. who takes home the most trophies out of their entries. Yes there are a LOT of people I know who have invested a great deal of time, money, sweat, and tears into their vehicles Girlieracers EG Coupe is an amazing example of that...

whoever wants to enter and thinks that their mods are worthy should be allowed to do so, but then after the show cannot bitch and whine when they see that the exact same model of car as theirs who had a custom ICE install and neon with a C-West kit beat them...

that is Cyclone's two cents about the show scene...

my two cents about the show scene (my sarcastic remark above) is that, if a Celica with the action package, stockish rims, not even lowered with a carbon hood (if memory serves me right) can beat a Celica with a Veilside body kit and gorgeous rims, it really doesn't matter what you put into your car but rather just how good you are at washing it and showing it.
but then again, this is an indoor space so maybe I won't waste floor space by putting my car on there.

the fault of that one lies entirely with the owner of the veilside celica for not reading the rules, however

it seems that if you don't open your doors, trunk, and hood, you lose out on around half of the points you need automatically no contest. with enough meguiar's products, I could win best mitsubishi because nobody ever shows mitsus at WOW

Last year's award to the "best toyota" was a complete joke. Hopefully, this year it'll be awarded to the true recipient.
