wow, the ipod shuffle looks neat
but it only comes in 512mb and 1 gb
woulda been better if it was 20gbs
or even 4 gb wouldn't be too bad
this thing seems perfect, i didnt need 40 gigs, 20 gigs, maybe 4 gigs, but still $350 is too much, this thing seems perfect, i was looking for a 512 or 1 gig, if this things produces sound as good as the ipod i think this is the one im gonna get. However i couldnt find it on their site, does this still have a built in battery?

The Apple iPod Shuffle looks great (I dont need more than 1GB), however the accessories are pretty pricey.
$40 for an armband?
Where is the screen for the iPod Shuffle? It's a great new entry for Apple into the flash player market. They made the right move by having the nice iPod "sheek" solid white colour but neglected the functionality aspect. But looking at it again, it is rather small to put a screen on it. What do I know?
The Mac Mini is sweet though. I would consider getting one if I had to replace my current computer. It's good that Apple is finally getting into the more economical markets.
There is no screen. The iPod Shuffle stays in "random play" or "play in order" mode the entire time.Originally posted by no_joke

Im excited about that Mini Mac. Lets hope they don't prevent installing OSX Server on it. It would make an awesome little Web/Mail/FTP server.

The Mini Mac looks neat. Maybe good for using as a portable comp for students studying in other cities...
Perhaps its a good time to invest in Apple...

Ipod shuffle is soooo small!!! Too bad it doesn't have a screen, but for $129 bucks thats a sweet deal. I think I'd still go with a ipod mini though.
apple has really grown on me.... dont tell bill gates though, or the white van may come!
that ipod shuffle looks cool... may have to pick one up!
but OS9 BLOWS
What is OS9 and what's wrong with it? I don't know anything about macs...

but OS9 BLOWSOS9 is their previous generation operating system. It's long been replaced by OSX. It's like me sitting here complaining to everyone Windows 3.11 licks my nut. i.e. No relevance to anything. What is OS9 and what's wrong with it? I don't know anything about macs...
ipod shuffle looks kinda lame, u can get a nice player not made by apple with a screen for the same price with same features, they are trying to play on the people and their recent obsession with everyting ipod (even though other players on the market are MUCH MUCH better in comparison (iRiver for example)
and whoever said OS9 is like windows 3.1.....i take it OSX is like windows 95 then? since it is next up isn't it?
Find me a 1gb usb drive mp3 player for under $200 CAD. Most 256mb players are in the $150 range.Originally posted by eblend

Here's a reasonable comparison from iRiver http://www.iriveramerica.com/prod/ul...0/n10-105.aspx
512 mb usb player with display for $250 USD. So that's $150 USD more than the ipod shuffle, just for the display.
He didn't make that comparison. He just said that OS9's crappiness has no relevance to anything since it's been replaced by OSX.Originally posted by eblend

i know i was just playing around, not a big fan of mac computers, so just poking a little fun that all, no harm intendedOriginally posted by Kamen

and as for the iriver comparison, i was talking more about their hdd player which has build in fm (u can actually store songs played on the radio right to your iriver) and a color screen and all that and retails for same or less then the ipod
i dunno..ipod this ipod that is driving me crazy..whats so special about it?
So basically most of you want the shuffle because it looks nice eh? I'll take function over form any day. Why the hell would I want a product thats main feature is a shuffle mode.

what sucks is having to work on OS9 when the perfect solution is UPGRADE after 5 years! OSX OWNZOriginally posted by Kamen

Tiger's coming out sometime this year too. I'm interested to see what that'll be like.
