The lt. green/black is located in the drivers kick and catches only the drivers door. The lt. blue is located in the harness coming from the drivers running board going under the drivers seat and it catches all other doors. Use both door trigger wires and diode isolate each.
Hook these wires to the red/white (-) input from the Compustar.

The diodes will have the band going towards the door wires.

okay, so i understand how they work now...

but that link i posted said 1 wire was for just the driver's door, the other was for all doors, or did it mean to say all *OTHER* doors?

is a 1 amp diode sufficient for this?

Maybe i'll just take it in somewhere and get it done... unless you want a side job for a 12 pack of beer

EDIT: i talked to the store that installed it, they said they'd hook it up for me... i just didn't tell them that they installed a 1 way Am and i upgraded it to a 2 way FM :P

but by the looks of it passive should have been an option on my old system anwyays

Edit Again... I went there, they said the doors is an alarm feature that's why it wasn't done for the starter, they wanted $45 to do it, i told them i'd do it myself.

Default deactivating a remote / replacement required

I have lost a CS-555 Command Start remote. I have 2 remotes so I am not completely screwed.

    1. I need to get a replacement CS-555 remote. Are they still available anywhere?

    2. I need to "unlearn" the lost remote in the command start module. The module is a CS-290i (1999 vintage). Can this be done?

    There are new transmitters available.
You can reset the module and it erases all transmitters.
PM me to get a price for the transmitters.

If you want it for the passive function, the driver door would be sufficient.
This is then a simple one wire hookup.

    TACH WATCH LOCKOUT
Tach Watch lockout is a safety feature built into
the remote starter to protect the vehicle’s starter
motor. If, during remote start, the vehicle’s
engine ever cranks the entire programmed crank
time without detecting any Tach pulses during
the first crank cycle, the unit will go into Tach
watch lockout. The diagnostics for this is 3 quick
Parking lights flashes when trying to remote start
    the vehicle.
If your module is in Tach Watch Lockout it is
indicating that a problem exists with the Tach
signal it is receiving. Verify that the Tach wire
from the remote starter is properly connected to a
good Tach signal in the vehicle.
To remove the unit from Tach Watch
Lockout you must do the following:
    1. Close the Hood.
    2. Disable starter kill. (If installed)
    3. Start the engine using the key.
    4. Let it run for at least 25 seconds, then shut it
    OFF.
    5. The module should now be out of Tach
    Watch Lockout.
If module is still in Tach Watch Lockout move
Tach wire to a better Tach source and perform an
Automatic Tach Setting. Repeat steps 1 to 5.

Check if your turbo timer is on.
    If not,

Check your interior light, or door ajar light in your dash.
Does it stay lit with the doors closed?
If not does it illuminate when you open a door?

It may be a sticky door switch.

If it is a VW, you may need to replace a latch assembly.

Try opening and closing each door, one at a time, and see if this helps.

Let me know the year make and model of your car, and we'll narrow it down for you.

It sounds like the connection to the door pin switch.
If you use the query (IV)
Does the remote show a door open?

6 Flashes means the hood is open, or at least the unit thinks so.
Check the hoodswitch and see if it is OK.

Disconnect the hood switch and try setting th e remote starter.

If it is any of the 200 series Command Start, follow the sequence below.
    1. Open Hood

    2. Press the hood switch down and release (The parklights have to come on)
    3. While the lights are on press and release the hoodswitch quickly. (The lights should remain on) If the lights do not remain on repeat steps 2 and 3.
    4. Press button I on the transmitter until the lights go out.

Close the hood and try your remote starter

    Hi

I have a CS310i Command Start. The starter etc all worked until a few days ago when the guts fell out of the remote control transmitter. I would appreciate info on where in SK, AB or BC that I would be able to find the replacement.

    Thanks
    Prairie
