Default What are your REALISTIC Goals?

As I was typing my post for the abortion thread this question came to mind.... so list yours!!

Keep them as realistic as possible (ie. acedemic, personal, work, etc.) and approx. how long it will take you

    Here's mine:

    1. Recieve my B.Sc. Spec. Immunology and Infection: ~2.5-3yrs

    2. Go to French Culinary Institute: 6 months for my Red Seal but I will also want to take a Sommelier ("Wine guy") course so ~2 yrs with work experience in NYC HOTTEST Resturants (Got in after HS, but went to do Science instead?!?!? Now gotta try again!!)

    3. Go to Medical School: LONG TIME...haha, res, fellowship, spec...

    4. Open a Resturant: only time and $$ will tell. also depends how culinary school turns out (contacts)

    5. Own an M3: After im done med school (gift to myself)

    6. Write a cookbook: i will most likey be done writing by next summer as im slowly working on it so ~1.5-2yrs with publishing and pictures etc.

    7. Travel to see all the seven wonders of the world! 2 down 5 more to go! Only see Niagara falls and the grand canyon, now that was cool!

    8. Marry my GF (as of now...i think!!) and have kids

Most of these are attainable for what my goals, dreams and ambitions are. Long long time though!!

In essense these are my LIFE LONG Goals!

    1. Get over the fact that you do not need money to be happy.

    2. Find something I love doing, probably something with golf.

    3. Spend the rest of my life doing something with golf even if I'm poor. Try to become the best golfer I can be, or golf teacher I can be.

    4. Get my applied business Sport and Rec Degree so I can pursue this career in golf. Hopefully in Las Vegas.

you like to cook?! funny, ive never met a guy wants to go to culinary school as much as me besides my cousins ex-BF!

for you! ! i think its hilarious how most guys think women do all the cooking yet 80-83% of all chefs are men!

although, i have LOTS of respect for women chefs! my women chef metor = Julia Child! FCI here I come!!!!!

BTW. i entered a cooking show competion and am making a 5min demo tape making one dish, maybe ill send it your way for some input? does that sound cool?!

This is a tough one, because you really won't know until you have money and realize money alone does not make you happy.

Sure ! I'd love to take a look at it .

I like cooking because it gives me a chance to chill out and relax, as well as entertain myself doing cool things lke shaping what i'm cooking, presentation is also fun - I'm into being artistic so it's great to get things together enough to make a meal that looks deadly.

-- Women chefs are few and far between I agree - All the women I know who cook have learned from their mothers, and their mothers etc. So alot if it is really basic stuff - I want to go to culinary school so I can learn to make sweet Italian food, because I like the look of it :P.

I've wanted to go to culinary school ever since I started messing around with little things like Kraft Dinner, use creme instead of milk, etc. etc. Or randomly experimenting Putting brown sugar and honey into a stir fry...A spicy Thai stir fry at that ! I'd like to go to a school and apprentice under someone AWESOME so I can understand what goes with what
