I went in there asking about a shortshifter for a 91' Teg RS and he told me that "in order to install a shortshifter you need a new transmission".

Don't know about anyone else, but that was the LAST time I ever went there. Speedtech was just down two doors anyways...

ask yourself this, if they are as good as they say they are... why was RPM closed? I dont have any history dealing with them, but I dont think I ever will...

Before you take your car to any shop, or let anyone touch it, or buy a car, do a search through the Alberta motor vehicle industry council, that will tell if they are legit and in fact licenced to even work on a car legally, basically you have to have qualifications now in Alberta to work on cars and to get a licence....
And no its not a voluntary program....

well i got alot of work done there when it was open and got alot of my parts from them.. i heard the reason why they closed rpm was becuase they didnt want to sell stuff anymore cos of the market in calgary and tehy wanted to go back to what they started doing in the first place and that was body work and painting... from what i know they are good with body work and painting but i dunno i heard they used a shitty ass primer.. but ya.. the one that does alot of mechanical stuff there is there dad he did my clutch and then i found out later he didnt' resurface the flywheel when he did it. so ya.. they dotn have a mechanics license so i dunno its totally your call if your getting your turbo done there.. i know they all work on there cars and stuff but thats your descression..

    hope that helps you out..

I have never had any bad experience with them. I have not had them do any performance work to my car, so to that degree I do not know. But, they do excellent body work, and the maintanance work they have done on my car seemed to be very well done.

I think they had some bad people working for them before, and that is why they had problems when they had their shop on 32nd, but as I say, never had a bad experience with them, Roberto is a good guy.

Take it to someplace that you KNOW is going to do good work. That's my advice.

they do good work from my experiances but you sure do pay for it.... they are pretty knowledgeable but there are places that do the same quality work for less money. just my 2....

I personally have never had any encounters with them...but from close friends who have gone there...majority is poor or bad feedback...hit up one of our sponsors for the work you require...I mean they wouldnt be a sponsor if all they got was bad comments...

give Allan and Speedtech a call...see if they can do the work for you instead of a company you need to ask about...

I went to rpm back in the day because i wanted to get new shifter bushings put in. Since I had a short shifter, IT COULD'NT BE DONE
So i ended up going to T&T of all places and I never went to RPM again.
"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear. The traitor is the plague.”

Neither Strd, rpm, or compact tuning lab show up on the amvic search....
But most of the other big name shops do, take it to one that shows up on amvic, at least your own ass will becovered if anything ever happens to your car....maxt

stay away from RPM, they are a bad company and they hate people from beyond with a passion. I was buying my seat from them 2 years ago because there price was $40 cheaper than speedtech but than they charged me $240 to get my seat mounted when they said it would be $125. They aren't a very good company and there is a reason why they ditched the shop a year ago, speedtech took all of the business because they actually know what they are doing there.

stay away and stick to companies that actually have good service.
