I bought these speakers from someone awhile ago i didn't notice that one of the metal connector thingys was broken. Here are pics of the two. are these still able to install? i'm a newb at car audio.sorry.

as long as the wire is still connected to the voice coil it should be ok. test it on your home stereo to see if it still works. if it works then you can still use it

how do i test them with my home stereo?

dude, just connect the wires to the treminals. If sound comes from the speakers, the wires are still connected to the voice-coil. If theres no sound, the wires have been ripped out of the vc.
Just use some 2-part epoxy, and glue the terminals back onto the basket.

connect posative to posative and negative to negative
+ to + and - to -
if there is sound it's good
if you are still having problems take the speakers to Visions or Future Shop they can help

i already helped him its all good by the way how do they sound still?

yea thanks alot Barry!! they sound good but i still just got to fix that wire problem on the driver side, haven't had time yet.Originally posted by futurecivic
