i have recently been ofered 37000 for my cv6 and am thinking of buying some thing different like a siliva i have been tould the the s14 is the better option because it has the same motor as the s15 but is much cheaper and i would have moremoney left for mods and other thoughts would be good. is ther any differance between he s14 and s15 sr20det motor

250hp compared to 230hp, and you get a 6speed tranny

    the s14 sr20 is only a 5 speed while the s15 is a 6speed.

Plus I think the s14 t28 isn't ball bearing and the s15 on is, someone correct me if I am wrong.

yea the S14 blacktop SR20s werent accompanied by ballbearing turbos...the extra money ull pay for that 30 hp gaain btwn models, much better spent on mods instead i think, plus ive heard the 6 spd trannies arent the most solid things, s14

    S14 :

    Horsepower: 220hp at 6000rpm
    Torque: 203 ft/lbs at 4800rpm
    Turbo: T28

    S15 :

    Horsepower: 250hp at 6000rpm
    Transmission: 6 Speed, Close Ratio
    Injector size: 480cc/min
    Turbo: Upgraded T28

both have variable valve timing aand low port heads unlike the s13

just get an s14, boostless is right, the 6 speed sucks and it's not worth the extra money

s14 tranny's aren't so great either. the syncros on s14 tranny's the highest wear item on the car

$25 000 5 speed manual, alloys, low kms and on closser inspection had a hole heap of extras including frount mount intercooler boost controller apexi ecu and a gt35/40(according to a decal on the side) turbo looks like the one for me or is it to good to be true and i did see some good 14 atgood prices but this skyline caught my eye any more thoughts

    buy the R33
RB25DET > than any SR20 i think, has as much stock power as the even an S15 SR20, mroe cylinders and im sure RB motors can put out more power, and handle it better and safer...
go, get it checked it out, if its not leaking/burning anything and compression is all pretty close together, and it seems solid, get the R33!
