    Default car battery leaking acid

I have a 2003 Chevy Cavalier, with an ACDelco, original battery. A couple of weeks ago my car would not start so I had to get it jumped. The next two days it was a little hesitant to start. I took it to Pep Boys, the guy said my battery was leaking acid. He didn't say if I should get a new battery though. My car has been starting fine ever since. If my battery is leaking acid should I get a new one? Or what should I do if not that?

YES!!! Go back to the dealer and get them to give you a new battery. Leaking battery acid is never a good thing. Peeling paint, wrecked wiring, any number of problems could arise from battery acid in the engine compartment.

will it cause any problems with my car, like, not starting or stalling or anything like that? I plan to go get a new battery, but I don't really know when I have time because I have to go with my mom and she's always working. So I just want to make sure my car is not going to explode or anything like that before I have time to get one (hopefully next weekend).

Not to mention a serious burn if you touch the acid. Get a new battery asap!

    Get a new battery.
Have the charging system tested as well... is the battery leaking
from physical damage, or is the system overcharging the
battery and causing it to boil?
If the system is overcharging, you will ruin a new battery as well.
Please wear saftey glasses when working around batteries, the hydrogen gas vented during charging is very explosive...
