bilt rite machining did great work on my motor head, so you might want to ask if they will do sleeves.

I heard superior doesn't do it anymore, but I could be way wrong.

If someone knows otherwise please let me know. Or who would be the person to ask at superior.

Theres some guys at precise engine rebuilders and they wanted 250 a cylc to sleeve it, and i said no way..... I coulda sent my block to benson and had them done it for that much.

Jim at Superior is the one to talk to.

Just a warning, he told me all my stuff would be like a month and everything took 6 months. If your planning to go see him, plan to not have your stuff for a while.

I had my block and head completely done through him.

I don't care what anyone says he does "THE BEST" work in the city. No-one is better. Just can take forever depending on how busy he is.

Yeah Ron is a cool guy and does awsome work as well but Jim at Superior is the best of the best. Ron's dog scares me everytime I go to his shop. Anyone who has been there knows what I'm talkin about!

Well becides the fact that superior doesn't do sleeves anymore, they are closing their doors at the end of the month and jim is taking some time off.

    Try Peter at Precice 287-1655

I haven't used him yet but he seems to be confident at what he does, i also questioned him on exactly what type of machinery he uses and its up to par. AlpineAutowerks uses him, so that has to say something.

Well thats the thing we went to precise , and peter immediatly started going off on how the sleeves we got were flanged, instead of a straight standard sleeve... Which automatically made me assume he hasn't done one of these blocks before. The sleeves do not come in any other way. Other then the opendeck sleeve with a huge step in it. The wetsleeve which is totally out of the question. Then the closed deck, which has a extremely small flange at the top of the sleeve, none of which are a straight standard sleeve. It sounded like he was too lazy and didn't want the extra work to have to step the top of the block to allow room for the flange.

So that really changed my mind about using Peter at precise.. but also like I said he wanted $250 per cylc to sleeve em.

ya i just talked with him yesterday about this. he can do the closed deck sleeves, its just way more work.

personally, i wouldn't waste my time and money with closed deck (if your motor is wet design)

Heh I don't feel like buying another block, I already have two... Im not in a huge rush for getting the sleeving done I just want it done properly. I have another JDM H22A in the car right now, and my old block on the stand. Just building it up for boost, got alot of other parts, but ther is so many more I still need, and funds only come so quick
