question about residence life

i have a question about living in residence...do things you see in movies really happen in residence..like all those crazy keg parties...i just wanna know because i going to post secondary next year and wanna know if residence life is like or similar to the movies??

It depends where you go ... in the states it actually does happen as I've seen it. Here at U of C, the parties are limited and are usually in that of the sausage fest variety.

i lived in residence first year at UofL, fucking worst mistake of my life. fat girls, geeks, and a shitty old residence. i wanted to shoot myself after a month.

After living at SAIT's new residence for 6 months I am moving out next year and I can't wait. My brother lives in the rez at the UofA and he is having a blast. There are all the parties that you want and the floors are Co-ed. Even more fun and there is always activities for the floors. The few times that I have visited him have always been a blast. SO living in rez really depends on where you are.

I think it depends what residence you're put into...and what type of person you are

but seriosuly, who you are makes up what res life will be like - if you like to party, then you'll find lotsa parties..if you're more quiet and keep to yourself, then you'll lead a average, boringish residence life

i lived in Mount Royals rez last year, the west court, apt buildings. Withing a month our party priveliges were revoked. We went too hard too soon , but man some of the parties were so fun. I hear its a lot different this year though, a lot more strict on the partying. Oh well, Im going to visit in a couple months, so Ill have to tear it up once again.

u of a rez is quite the party, drugs, and sex town...

ya i have alot of friends who moved up to u of a and every tome i talk to them they have been to/hosted a crazy party, so i would recomend u of a for some mad partys/good rez life

RDC res is terrible. Its clicky, and half the buildings look like their about to fall apart. They allow smoking there too. The only good thing is that i get my own room. Theres hardly ever parties. The only good thing is that theres 400 girls to 100 guys in res right now. too bad most of them are hideious (sp?) or over 25

UBC res isnt bad. We get the parties, girls (well u just gotta weed out the bad ones) whatever. But i wouldnt stay for more than a year. u get sick of the food and the place is kinda old.

I'm in totem park and if anyone remembers i think letterman had us in the top 10 easiest places to get laid.

St. Joes @ the UofA is without a doubt the best rez in edmonton. It isn't coed but it is guaranteed good times. I lived there for 2 years and they were two of the best years of my life.

Deadly parties, good food (unlike other rez's). You do live in small shitbox rooms but all you do is sleep in them.

As for NAIT they don't have residences.
