Default Some advice on Suspension Upgrades.

Im toying with doing my whole suspension, coilovers, shocks, sway bays.... etc...

I've heard alot of good opinions on what is the best for 92-96 ludes...

General concensius i get for the coilovers are ground controls.
    Shocks, Koni Yellows
Sway bars it doesn't matter too much

Just curios, since I am getting my Christmas pay cheque in like jan 1st..... And its gonna be huge, how much you think Ill be looking at, just for parts, installation I can do.

ground controlls are nice, a bit pricey but from what I have heard they are a dream and worth every penny. The sway bar will cost you about 150-200 I believe but it depends on what you want.

The Koni Sport + Ground Control is an amazing package. There are however a few questions you should ask yourself before spending ANY money:

-How does the car handle? Could the $$ be better spent on the driver, not the car?

-What are you expecting to get out of the sway bars?

-Why are you upgrading your suspension?

-What areas of your current set-up are you unhappy with?

-What will the car be used for and where will it be driven?

This is a good starting point. From here I can offer some advice

The car handles stock SR-V, pretty damn good to begin with... As for spending on the driver I dunno what your talking about there.

Sway bars, just stiffen up the front end and rear, if possible

Why, because I think my stock shocks are getting old.... 10 years old now...... Plus I want to lower the car, and have adjustability, alot of the gusy say if you do coilovers, do shocks while your at it.

    Current areas, everything...

Daily driving during the summer, and possible auto xing.

Sometimes, its better to learn how to use what you have already than to put more into the car that you can't take advantage of. A high performance driving school like the one offered at race city, or an advanced autocross course like the Evolution Schools might be a better investment, especially if you are planning on taking the car racing (solo or road course) in the future. I noticed more of a improvement in my driving after taking the Evolution School 2 years ago than I ever would have dumping that money into the car.
Drag racing is for fast cars. Solo 2 is for fast drivers.
