Is it for an ebay item? You might be elligible for buyer/payer protection depending on the item. Are you the buyer or the seller?

Im the seller, and its just a private sale..
people say paypal takes a chunk (not to much)
I would rather have the cash than it go on the credit card, but im curious on what the risks of a money order are..

PayPal takes 4% I think if he is using a CC to pay using PayPal. If he has money already in his account, nothing will be deducted and you can transfer money from your PayPal to bank account, it wont go directly onto your credit card.

And there is no risk with a money order. They are as good as cash. Just takes a while to recieve the funds via mail.

Paypal is safer than a money order.

    www.certapay.ca (or com cant remember)

There is no protection here. Once you recieve the money it is yours. It takes 3 minutes to do and there is only a 1.50 fee. Also the money is directly deposited into your account.

if your the seller, no risk in money order.
if your the buyer, the risk of getting scammed may be greater to paypal since it is pretty much cash.
