Default servicing an acura in downtown toronto

    Hey gang,

two things. A good place to get work done on my acura 1.6 EL in downtown toronto area? the dealership is SO pricey downtown. I may take it out to Acura 2000 but it's so far from me, although they quoted me $200 less to do my timing belt, so an hour on the bus is worth it. If there are any good places though i'd love to know.

second, my engine has one cylinder with a problem (leadown test showed it was at 70% and I'm getting gas leaking into my oil - luckily this winter hasn't been too cold). When she starts up in cold weather, the engine makes a helluva noise until she warms up. Not sure what it is, but the Downtown Acura dealer suggested a new engine. If i do, in fact, need a new engine, should i not get the timing belt done and instead put a new engine in? i know this is a tough question to answer, but will the new engine include a new timing belt anyway?

    thanks

Beyond is almost 90 percent from Calgary.. But if you are saving $200 , then save $200 lol. As for the new engine , get a second opionion before you trust your downtown Acura.

Don't get a timing belt done if you are buying a new engine. If you do, your just going to have to do much of the work anyways.

If you buy a new engine, wait til you get the engine first. 1.6 engines are only about 500 dollars, so you should be all said and done for under 1,000 with install
