Ok, I know that there is going to be a TON of posts regarding GT4 in the next couple hours....and in the weeks to come.
Lets try and keep most of the general posts to this thread (like we have done in the past with NFSU etc.)

After reading around on other forums here's a helpful hint for all you people who are picking up the game tonight:
- You can import 100 000 credits (dolla bills) from your GT3 save as well as the licenses (not 100% sure if ALL of the licenses are transferable as I obviously don't have the game but seems like most of them are). The extra $$$ from your GT3 save will allow you to start off with a better car and have more money to waste on it The license transfer is cool as well....I HATED wasting time to do like 30 tests which are easily passable (for the most part)...with the license transfer you can play immediately

no online for GT4, but LAN play
may be GT5 or GT4 online version

you can transfer gt3 data onto gt4.

this game is unbelievable, and i have a shitty tv and sound system.

it lets you transfer you A class and B class. and so far so good. 100,000 is alot to spend on a car for beggining races.

does buying a used car have any draw backs? like worse performance?

I got mine at EB at Southcentre, and I asked if I needed to preorder to buy today, and they said no. I just walked in and bought one. I can't believe you guys couldn't get it...

Not a single EB Games/Best Buy/Wal Mart/ANYTHING had it in Edmonton, I called every single one about 5 times today at different times.

Tomorrow morning is the verdict for all of em =/

so i played for 2-3 hours, i'm 2.5% done. hehe long way to go. does anyone have hd cables i couldn't find them anywhere, people said ps2 doesn't support hd and they don't carry them.

You guys might be in luck trying the EBGames by Silver City since it's brand new and not a lot of people know about it. Market Mall are all sold out (150 copies).

haha market mall sold out right away, and the north hill location sold out just as I was leaving. I didn't have a pre-order either.
the license tests are TERRIBLE this time around, do yourself a favor and just transfer over your B and A license from GT3. The 100k helps too, I bought a R34 Nur Spec (the white one with a CF hood) and had tons of money left over, got it to 508bhp. it hauls ass and most of all it actually feels like it has 500 plus horsepower!! it's amazing.
my last game I tried getting a Talon, too, and I slapped a huge turbocharger on it and got just over 300 horsepower but it was fuckin impossible to drive. no traction and it loved to dart all over the track. I think I'm going to restart a couple more times and try out some more cars..

If its anything like GT2 with used cars, I have to say no. Buying a used car its just like real life, minus the 15 year rule for imports .

i started with the same car. so far works great but i got mine to 543 hp. wish i would of used some cash on suspension and tires though.
