Exclamation 2004 model year details (all brands)

Some interesting line-up changes here according to Motor Trend...

    http://www.motortrend.com/future/spi...fvf/index.html

Strange to note that the Neon will be changed to the Lancer platform and that the Galant will lose the Mitsubishi name and just have a logo instead...?

(BEWARE of the frickin popups on that website )

    2004 Audi S4: High-performance, 4.2-liter V-8-powered S4 coupe launches late 2003 with 371 horsepower.
2004 Bugatti EB 16-4 Veyron: The radical 2004 Bugatti EB 16-4 Veyron boasts an 8.0-liter W16 engine from parent VW, cranking out 1001 horsepower with four turbochargers. Price for this exotic will be $750,000, plus tax.
2004 Porsche Carrera GT: The "open cockpit" Carrera GT concept features a 558-hp, 444-lb-ft 6.0-liter V-10 and weighs a mere 2756 pounds. Porsche promises a 0-100 km/h (0-62.1 mph) time of less than four seconds and a redline above 8000 rpm. Porsche will offer the Carrera GT in 2003 in low-volumes with prices expected to be in the $350,000 range. A Le Mans race-variant is almost certain to follow.
2004 Porsche GT: Porsche is seriously considering the addition of a 2+2 grand tourer to its broadening range by utilizing the Cayenne SUV mechanicals and Leipzig production facility. Initially, power would come from a 4.2-liter/337-horsepower V-8, with a twin-turbo 4.2-liter/449-horsepower V-8 being added later. Production of the stunning mid-engined Carrera GT may open up 10-cylinder potential.
2004 Porsche 911: Redesigned. Yes, so soon. Porsche is reported to be working with suppliers on a convertible hardtop for the next-gen Cabriolet. Engine displacement may climb to 3.8 liters for the base six cylinder, with a flat eight being likely.
2004 Volkswagen W12 Coupe: The name gives away the potent heart of this sophisticated beast, a compact 6.0-liter 12-cylinder that produces 600 horsepower. Matched to a six-speed transmission, VW claims the coupe can rocket 0-60 mph in under 3.5 seconds and top 217 mph. Such performance is achieved due to a low 2650-pound curb weight. With a track-tuned double-wishbone front and rear suspension, 50/50 weight distribution, various electronic assists, and massive 19-inch tires, equally impressive handling is ensured. Penned by Giugiaro, this latest gull-winged challenger to supercar supremacy appears to be in the staging lane for production.
