JDM VS USDM hood specs

after installing a carbon fiber hood made for the jdm spec impreza i noticed a few differences.... like different hood mounting bolts, windshield sprayer holes and a few other things... a friend told me it has to do with the crash safety specs... did anyone else notice this?

No, cant be a difference.

Lots of people swap over to the Aluminum hoods with no problem.

DAMMIT I have Fibreglass and Carbonfiber slivers all over my hands form the dremel work on that shiat!!!!!! )mental note: use gloves if I get one!) freaking hurts man!!! hahahahah

i got slivers all over my hand too... plucked them out under a really... bright light. hahaha. it still itches from time to time..

the hood itself is the same but the bolt size is different. the stock bolts are 10mmx1 thread pitch i think. on the new hood i had to use smaller bolts, 6mmx1 thread pitch. took me awhile to figure this out.

its ready to go. have the hood and headlight on.... except the bumper is still held on by duct tape..... new bumper isn't here yet. lol.
