ScanDisk SD PROBLEM - Please help!

I have a Panasonic DMC-LC5 Digital Camera that came w/ a Panisonic 32Mb SD memory card.

For Christmas I got a 256Mb ScanDisk SD memory card. When I try to transfer a picture to the computer using the ScanDisk card, it takes 20-30 times longer then w/ the Panisonic card.

I went to ScanDisk's site. DL'ed a driver (they didn't say what the driver would solve), but it made no difference.

1. Should I try formating the new card in the camera?
2. Should I return the ScanDisk card and go but a 256Mb Panasonic SD card for $80 more?
3. Should I wait for Panasonic to get back to me w/ help? I've waited 3 days already and I'm leaving for a vacation where I'll be using the new card but won't be able to retrieve the images right away when I get back.

Eep. Is this the new Panasonic with that new lense? I had one and it broke. Panasonic "couldn't" fix it, so I just shelled out enough for the 5 MP Sony model. Woo!

It has a Leica lense. They didn't give you anything after it broke?!?

Yeah, that's the one I had.

Well, they gave me a refund on that camera, so I just upgraded to the Sony

Nice Those looks pretty good for that camera. Looks like the old keyboard needs some detailing
