Default Bad time at the track!

Well I went last year for the first time.....

kinda dissapointing. But at least I know that I'm going to improve tons!

I went on 14's with 32 psi in teh tires.

My best time was 15.312 going 92 Mph.
All my reaction times were like 1.4

So the way I look at it. If I let my tires out a bit (20 psi)

And get at least .4 or even .5 off my reactino time. I'll be running 14's.
    I'm going to buy a 89 camaro.

when your 3rd yellow lights turns on, by the time youve reacted with the clutch it will turn green...this will put u in the .6 reaction time area, just as long as u dont redlight

just so you know, unless I'm mistaken, at race city they don't factor the reaction time into the overall running time....they start the clock when you start, not when it turns green

That's right. Your reaction time has nothing to do with your final time. The clock doesn't start until you actually start moving. You could sit at the green light for 20 seconds, and still run your 15.312

oh really? Then what should I do?

Woudl lowering my tire pressure help me lots?

I was at 32 psi. I hear I sould be at 20 or lower.

If I go too low does it slow me down? How low is too low?
    I'm going to buy a 89 camaro.

I think under 20psi is too low. You probably just need to work on your launch and your shifting. What kind of times are you expecting? What mods do you have?
The weird thing is, I ran faster times with my tire pressure set at 44psi compared to 24psi. Shouldn't it be the other way around?

Tire pressures depends on the car. I mean, for cars with no low end torque like my 944, it'll run better with higher tire pressures because it'll spin the tires just a little more up to 3000rpm instead of gripping instantly and leaving me at 2000rpm. The difference there is over a second in ET's!

The only suggestions that I have for you is:
    1) practice launching
    2) avoid the the water in the burn-out/warm-up area (you are running street tires right?)
    3) stiffen your suspension (esp. front)
    4) get better tires

Practicing the the big thing. Just do what feels right and go to the track often.

I guess I should follow my own advice, eh?

I have to disagree with you on this one, I think that if you can adjust your suspension, you should adjust the rear to the firmest and the front to middle/soft...not firm, because if the front is too firm you will get alot of wheel hop, but if it is soft this should be able to stop most of the wheel hop...I wish I had my Koni adjuster with me yesterday...
