What is a good TV that I could get for around $1000. I'd like at least a 32" Also where should I be looking other than Visions/Future Shop/Soundsaround?
Thanks

well projection isnt as good as DLP or Plasma.
with projection if you view the tv from the side you will notice it is a lot darker and most of the time its hard to even make out whats on tv. Also DLP is similar to it but because of the way the light is projected it has reduced the dark sides and the tv is way thinner. DLP tv are about 1/2 to 1/3 the depth of most projection tvs of the same size.
Then ofcourse there is plasma tvs but for a $1000 you cant really find a good one around 32".
So my recommendation is to go for a DLP tv even tho you might have to spend like $1500. You might even be able to find like a 40" for around $1500
for DLP!
got a samsung 61" DLP sitting in my room right now, although it is expensive, paid 5k on an open box
^^
its way better than a projection tho and its only costs a little more
well worth there money
definately better then projection, had a projection before, its like comparing apples and oranges

hitachi makes teh best tv's (especially rear projectors and DLPs) It doesn't even compare to the JVC (if youre' not sure, listen to them - all JVC's have a loud hum and run hot) Go Hitachi for sure!
Hitachi doesn't make DLP's. They only do Plasmas, LCD projection, and crt projection now.Originally posted by core_upt
