Default Oh NO! My car got smacked

Hey guys, this post kind of piggy backs on the previous post about auto-body shops.....

Someone backed their car into my black E36 and put a dent on the driver's side panel. I need to get some quotes and I want to get them from reputable shops ONLY.

My first quote was from Exotic Cars International, for just shy of $1000.

I was thinking of going to Maranellos, but I still need one more quote from another premium auto body shop. I want excellent work.

Is there 1 other shop that stands above the rest?

    Thanks for your input!

Would A-1 Auto Body be compared to places like these?

Yeah well I wonder how they get the soft flowing caramel inside the Caramilk bar but you don't see me making a god damn thread about it. Slap your wife Baygirl, straighten him out.

Exotic has done great work on some of our cars.

The MB dealers go to them for all their touch ups on damaged new cars.

Thanks guys, you've all beena big help!

Only downside is I will be without my pride and joy for the time it takes them to fix it, could be a month

Just some info I picked up in a similar situation of my own:

If it was the d.s. front fender that was hit, you can get an after market panel for ~$100. Fitment and quality are pretty good. Painting and blending will be where you spend the most $$$.
    Order online

If it is your d.s. rear quarter panel ($780) then the cost of repair will be pretty high, as you cannot replace w/o major body work. If filler is required, inquire which material they will use. Lead > Bondo.

GOt hit almost square in the middle of the d.s. door...right below the moulding.....

Apparently it is a pain in the ass to fix and fairly expensive ($1000+ and the dent is about the size of a baseball/grapefruit)........

Exotic says it is one of the worst places to get hit on an E36....

Luckily I am not at fault and therefore don't have to pay a cent. Unfortunately it was a young teenage new driver that hit me....so it is going to cost them a fair chunk... Pretty rough....

I've brought an X5 to maranello's and they were great. Gave me a great price as well.

I would recommend them but I have no experience with other shops.
