**fcuking computer wont work**

ok, i've got a dell inspiron notebook and im having some issues so any help would be awesome.

heres what i have

pentium 4 3.06Ghz

512 MB RAM

64 MB Nvidia GeForce FX 5200

my monitor is a typical LCD 15 inch with max resolution of 1024x768

plus i have shaw cable internet and jsut did a test, downlaod at 2478 kbps on average

so why is that then whenevre i try to play online games im lagging like a mofo and i experience "connection difficulties"

its not like im playing games that wouldnt work on my computer, they should work quite well as my comp is far above the recommended requirements. any suggestions guys?

Do you use wireless internet? My wireless makes me lag like a bitch when it normally would be fine. Have any firewalls and stuff like that active?

What games are you playing, and what servers? Could be the server's problem, not yours.

well im usually on a wireless but today cause i wanted to play online i hooked my comp right up to the modem. seems that evry server i tried it lagged and i was playtin battlefield 1942

hmm, jsut seems to be battlefield, the single player works fine but multyplayer doesnt.

video card, try something faster.

Or just a few slow connections happen to join in to your game.

does it happen right away for after playing for a bit. laptops get much hotter and much faser also remember to be plugged in as when your on battery the laptop slows down to save battery power so you wont be running all out when on battery. also try a disk cleen up to remove old internet files that might help along with a defrag. I know for me inorder to keep my laptop running as good as it can i have to format and reinstall everything every 3-4 months, but i program so that creates alot of memory leaks.
