Call uhh, SHIT, Kidney Foundation!! there we go. They will tow for free and you get a tax reciept
oh yea? that is good to know! thanks.
But watch out! they came and got my buddies car while he was at work, and they took the car with his $200 tool set in the trunk.. never to be seen again...
What car is it you're trying to get rid of? You should post it up for sale for $50 or even for free, you never know who might need/want it.
i have a 92 civic shell would they take that aswell?
I am pretty sure the people the kidney foundation gives it to need it alsoOriginally posted by T5Bird

*pokes ride.us* be nice
futurecivic call them and ask, you never know, they might just take it because I believe they just use the scrap metal money they get from crushing it so they might do it, only way to find out is call and ask.
cool thanks
Chinook towing usually picks them up. I always use a guy named Darren. He runs em over to Bucks for the coin.
although a tax receipt isnt really that great of an incentive. it it were me i'd rather sell it for $50 than get a $50 tax receipt, cause you can only claim 17% of the receipt.
When I had my old Prelude, I called some guy he came and took it for free!

which is why they tell you to clean it out before the pick up date
when cut open, the rambutan unfortunately fails miserably to deviate from its outwardly testicular appearance, revealing an inside that looks for all the world exactly how you'd expect the contents of a scrotum to look.
I think its Metro Towing that does free pick up and tow away as well. I've used them a few times.
Honda/Acura guy
I have heard the only thing with the kidney foundation is it must have all four wheels, and i think it has to have an engine.
While we're on the towing subject though... who would i get to tow a car from edmonton to calgary? like on a flatbed
You may want to see if you can rent a car carrier from u-haul and get a friend with a truck to take it for you. Last time I used a flat bed, it was like $50 to load, and around $2.50 a km. So you'd be looking at like $800.Originally posted by Hash_man

Last time I used a flat-bed he charged me $50 for across town, so you should be looking at a couple hundred from Edmonton to Calgary but yeah you're better off renting a car dolley and getting a friend with a truck if you have the time to go up there and drive back.Originally posted by '93 SR-V

Well.... it looks like I got f'd! But yeah, if you can avoid a tow from Edmonton to Calgary, you'd be better off.
Holy crap thats a lot of money, thanks for the UHaul idea though, I may just have to do that, sounds like the best scenario right now.You may want to see if you can rent a car carrier from u-haul and get a friend with a truck to take it for you.
