Thumbs up FS: Mint Psion Revo Plus / Diamond Mako PDA *New price

I have a Diamond Mako for sale for $90 firm. You can find specs and reviews on this PDA all over the web. It was only slightly used, there are no signs of wear or use on the lcd (no scratches) or the keyboard (no wear). No battery problems and holds a good charge. A few cosmetic imperfections (on silver area) but is only paint, no dents, cracks or breaks. Comes with everything in box, original box, manual, CD, charger, and desktop cradle. Contact via PM.

This PDA is great if you don't want to lug around the folding keyboard with you everytime you want to type up a quick email or note.

The extra large wide touch screen is great on the eyes and great for viewing webpages and documents.

This PDA is all about connectivity, you can connect to the internet via GPRS from your infrared capable cell phone, transfer and manage contacts, send SMS, Email, etc. With proper hardware you can also connect this PDA to a GPS receiver and use a GPS map software to direct you.

The PDA has word, spreadsheet, time, calculator, basic databasing software built-in. The CD that comes with it have web browsing and thesaurus softwares. A lot of great apps and games can be downloaded from the internet because of the large community worldwide (especially in Europe). I can also direct you where to download of "less widespread" software.

This PDA also have some multimedia capabilities like viewing short video clips and playing mp3s, of course picture viewing and basic editing. There are a lot of games that you can enjoy on this PDA, even Doom .

P.S. I was able to type this up on this PDA

Is this it? This is all I can find. So it doesn't run Windows CE?

Yep, no it runs the on a platform similar to those found on high end phones like the 6620 or 7610, Symbian OS aka EPOC. I believe Windows CE is a 16 bit OS and so is Palm OS (older version), EPOC is a 32 bit OS (Multi-taskable) and so is the ARM processor that is in it. Very fast and stable. You can transfer word documents and excel spreadsheets over to edit and read on the Psion.

There are some attempts to run Linux on this PDA too and it is almost as powerful as a computer since someone programmed a MAPLE (you would know what I am talking about if you are an Engineer) like program for the Psion and it successfully did derivatives and inverse derivatives (took a min ).

It's a "Computer Algebra System", called YACAS.
