Hello All,
I'm looking for a good tea house or tea room for my mom and I can go to. We have been to a few in the city over the past years, but we haven't gone looking for any in quite a while. Anyone know of any in the city?

There is one in Glenmore Landing, not sure what its called, but thats where I buy all my tea from (tea, I know, I'm a loser, but its relaxing!)
But anyways you can go in there and sit down and order whatever you want. Theres also another place on macleod right when you come into downtown on the corner of 10th i believe. I dont think its a tea place, but they have tea time from 2-4.
Oolong Tea House in Kensington (on 10 St NW) is quite popular with my finace and her friends.
Its not exactly an old-ladies-tea-house... but it apparently has great teas (over 100 different varieties to choose from).
Steeps on 17th ave, it's right beside the metropolitan grille. It ownz. Super cheap, I think anyways, and it's free hot water refills as many times as you like and they have the typical "over 100 teas to choose from" dealy.

Do any of these places serve pie? Me and Hampstor drove around for like 2 hours looking for a place unlike Humpty's that serves good pie. Decided we should open our own pie shop we were so dissapointed with the lack of "just desserts" in Calgary.
*edit* sorry for the hijack, figured it was sortof along the same lines.
Success is the ultimate revenge.
We've been to the one in glenmore landing and there's one up by COP called the highland tea room, but the one that we absolutely LOVED closed down, it was called "Tara's Tea Room" and it was on centre street.
There is one in Willow Park Village
I can't remember the name but I think it might just be TEA ROOM or something
I agree with Ben!Originally posted by Ben
