I have a question to ask about pocket PC's in general. I believe they have a Windows Media Player. If I were to install a Divx codec, get a 1gb card, could I throw a DVD-rip onto the card and watch it on the Pocket PC?

To be honest i'm not sure. Your best bet is to search for info on the net.

yes, dvd rips (divx) need only be a couple hundred megs for about 2 hours to have good quality on a small screen like that. A high res 700mb divx will be too much processing for it to handle.

You'll have to encode to WMV format in slower bit-rate. Quality won't matter since the screen is only 320X240 pixels.

If you have BeyondTV (PVR software), there's a mod to automatically port recorded show to mobile wmv format so you can catch up with your show on the train or bus.
