IMO Sherk will take it and it won't be close, Edgar lost to Maynard because he got out-wrestled and Sherk is easily the best wrestler in lightweight.

It's great to see Machida finally get the recognition he deserves. Those losers that said he was boring can shut up now.

The Hughes Serra fight was really close. I thought Serra won but it might be my own bias since I have always disliked Hughes and I hate when wrestlers win by lay n' pray.

Someone needs to tell wrestlers like Sherk and Kos that they aren't kick boxers. That game plan cost him the fight.

It's a good thing Okami got hurt because Miller wouldn't have stood a chance if he can't get up from Sonnen on top.

Absolutely, I'm surprised he tried that shit after what happened in the fight against Penn.
Sherk is boring as hell when he does his wrestling (IMO), but that's what got him his belt. So he should definitely stick to that.

Machidas code will be cracked one of these days.. It always happens eventually.. Hell let's not forget that was rashads first loss too.... Matt hughes used to be unstoppable.. etc.. But their time comes once someone finds that flaw in their game. Silvas was sort of shown in his last match when he danced around the whole fight.. Machidas my just be on his back, so they need to get inside for the take down.

Hopefully Japan doesn't suddenly develop some sort of moral code and decide that "works" are wrong because, unless the fix is in, there's a pretty strong likelihood that the damage HMC will be able to do to Jose Canseco will be violent and permanent.

If you're the gambling sort, there are some really decent long bets available.
Mayhem is going off at ~+230. I'm really surprised by this. I'd have put this a lot closer to an even money bet, and I've got Miller to win this one. Jacare couldn't finish him despite him doing exactly what Souza wanted. He's not going to flop down and let Jacare put another clinic on this time.
Hunt might not be a bad bet at ~+180. If he'd have weighed closer to 240, that would be an even better bet.
Interestingly, I don't think Joe Warren is a bad bet against Kid. Obviously, Kid is the heavy favorite, but he hasn't fought in a year and a half. Plus, Warren is arguably the better wrestler. If he can avoid being punched in the dome by Kid, he might be able to squeak this one by. Not terribly likely, but at +420, it a pretty damned good bet. Don't take out a second mortgage on the house on this one, but a $50 bet wins you $210 if Warren can pull off the upset.

I dont think he had a terrible game plan. Machida is just seriously under-rated. Evans is a counter-puncher. Same with Machida.

So what do you do?
Wrestle him to the ground like Tito tried?
Stand up with him like Silva?
Use kicks and get kicked down with a sweep?

Machida is going to be champion/top 3 in LHW for awhile. He's a black belt in karate and jiu jitsu. Strong wrestling and has punching power. He's also training in Muay Thai now too. He has the best hitting accuracy (or second best) and gets hit the least because of his hybrid karate style - I'll find stats later.

I agree.
But not only is Machida Under-Rated. IMO Evans is Over-Rated.
