Damn that was nuts. I don't think he is coming back from that. That was a good card. I thought Tate vs Rousey was the most intense and exciting.
Agree on the women's fight, very exciting.

Crazy card, thought leben would put on a good fight and lost. Thought Barnett had a crazy chin and didn't. I hate watching women fight, but they put on a great performance. I feel bad that silva broke his leg, hope that he has a speedy recovery if possible at all. Good job to weidman for easily winning the first round, proof he is the real deal.

As much as I'm a huge Silva fanboy, Chris proved he's the man @ 185. Things might've changed had Anderson not broken his leg, but he was definitely out for a moment in the first round. He did well off his back and I would've scored the first round 10-9, and was incredibly disappointed to see him go out with that injury, but it's almost like the universe is telling him his time is up. Would not be surprised to see him retire after this.
Tate vs Rousey was EASILY fight of the night. Super exciting. Rousey's judo is fucking fantastic. Could not believe how technical some of her throws were. Just unbelievable technique and lots of fun to watch. Not sure how anyone could call that fight 'not exciting'.
Stoked to see Uriah get in the zone and show his athleticism. He is extremely fast and explosive, and I really don't think Leben even had a chance. That flying knee to open up the fight just set the tone of Uriah's domiance.
Browne finishing Barnett in that fashion was definitely unexpected. Yet to be seen if Browne will pose any sort of competition for Velasquez, but he is certainly one of the best HW's.
Still can't believe how exciting Rousey vs Tate was. God damn, I can't wait to learn Judo.

Fuck Silva! Hes a disrespectful fighter and cocky as fuck.. Who gives a shit about him!
He was never disrespectful but he would play games with you during the fight. Imo he is one of the most entertaining fighters to watch and is probably the best mma fighter of all time (for now )Originally posted by BensonTT

IMO Weidman still hasn't beat silva. The first fight was a joke, a knock out while a guy was clowning doesn't count as a legit win. This fight isn't a win, silva broke his leg. I would have liked to see the fight keep going as silva was just warming up in looked like. Nobody will ever know now. Sad to see the greatest MMA fighter of all time go out like that.
That is a win to me, if your going to full out kick for the leg and it gets checked and you break your leg, that is him being either smarter or his defence better. 1st fight a joke, this to me is a legit win, plus I believe he was being the fuck out of him.
^ don't agree. That has only eve happened one other time in the UFC. Can definitely be labeled a "freak" accident. Could throw that kick 1000 times again and probably wouldn't have that outcome. As for beating the fk out of him he won the first round. A round doesnt win a fight. Silva wasn't in trouble after the original rock. I saw silva starting to warm up in the second and was getting excited for a clash of talents. In my mind we will never know if weidman was actually good enough to beat silva.
if you throw that kick, a full velocity kick and clash just below the knee, that will happen quite a bit, his normal leg kicks aren't as hard as he was throwing that one, that was a full kick and was checked properly. and as far as UFC only happening once, perhaps, but it happens alot in other events. Either way, we will see how he defends his title.
my $0.02
Weidman beat Silva both times, and both those fights reminded me of the first sonnen / silva fight.
Sonnen beat Silva through 5 rounds, only to get caught by choke late in the 5th round. I seem to recall scoring the first 4 rounds for sonnen.
Weidman used the same tactics, and it ended up costing Silva because he didn't take it seriously. the second fight, same tactics again, but used to a much better effect. Silva was rocked twice in the first round, and Weidman was in full control. Sure, Silva was coming on in the second, but we won't know what could have happened.
So, all things considered, Weidman beat Silva twice. I am confident in calling him the champ.
Now, it is going to be interesting to see who comes out of the woodwork to challenge for the belt, as I am thinking there were quite a few people that are in contention, but knew they could not beat Silva's style, so were just waiting...
