(Wo)man's gotta eat. Besides, beyond real strikes, UFC isn't far removed from WWE anymore. From trying to make WWE stars into real fighters to Dana and McGregor's antics, the fight game is more a joke than it ever was.

Not picking on you specifically Bob, but I get surprised when people make fun of others who have opportunities they would likely never have and would make their lifetime's salary in a couple fights/endorsements.

They're 2 different businesses really. Besides, what's wrong with the wrestling entertainment? She's a popular figure and she's moving on to what she feels is a great opportunity for her (not just financially).

Couldn't be more right about this. Her attitude was crap when she was in the MMA. She never touched gloves with Holms and she suffered her first knockout loss with her. The fight game requires the strongest mental strength and I don't think she ever recovered from her first loss.

Also have to realize if you want to make money in the sport being good is only a part of the equation. UFC in particular does not give fights primarily on skill, a huge part of it is the business side selling fights people want to see. If you want to make money you have to promote the fight and make it something people want to pay for. A huge part of these personas you see are utter BS. Rhonda obviously with her move to WWE is a pure showman. She knows how to sell fights she knows how to make money.

Not saying none of her personality shines through because I’m sure it does but a huge part of it is just selling fights and making money

Ran into Daniel Cormier at OEB. Absolute class act - shook his hand and gave him respect. Really cool to meet an athlete of that caliber.

Tomorrow’s card is stacked and wish I could afford tickets. This certainly makes up for the last UFC showing in Calgary.

Wow, jealous. Yeah really like DC's positive energy, seems to be a nice guy. Refreshing to see someone of that skill level be that humble. Goes to show you don't have to be a total asshole to sell tickets and be popular.

I really hope Connor loses to Khabib. After watching the last presser, Connor was off the rails, so much so I am wondering if he is all right upstairs. Khabib was much more composed and humble. I like Connor, but I really want him taken down a couple pegs and brought back to earth. It probably won't happen though even if he does lose because he has so much money, what the fuck does he care?

Conor is definitely OK upstairs. If you watch him enough you know this is part of his mental warfare. Didn't affect Khabib much it seemed but only Khabib knows.
