Man, I think Frank Mir definitely stepped over the line with this:
http://www.tsn.ca/mma/story/?id=311246I want to fight Lesnar. I hate who he is as a person. I want to break his neck in the ring. I want him to be the first person that dies due to Octagon-related injuries. That's what's going through my mind
lol wtf reminds me of mike tyson wanting to eat children
Yeah.
One minute, Mir seems like an intelligent, articulate guy. He does a phenomenal job commentating for WEC, IMO. Extremely knowledgeable about the sport, and can explain things clearly and concisely. Then he makes statement like this, and I go back to not liking him.
I've been enjoying "new" Mir. He's trash talking a bit, but he's kicking enough ass for it to be justified.
But this time, he stepped over the line. He's been eating someone else's strawberries again, and I fear he's going to pay even more dearly for it this time.
I really, really want to like Frank Mir. I want to see him do well. But he sure isn't making it easy...

Problem with Frank is that he wants to be the next Tito. Someone that can talk his way to big fights and big paychecks. His talent and abilities are there, and often times he doesn't need the excessive chatter. But it is also this same attribute that they become so well known and sell fights.
Why do you think Tito called Coleman out after the Coleman loss to Couture? It's an easily winnable fight for Tito that is also very marketable. Simply with a little bad publicity he opened the door for a win-win situation for himself.
Obviously Frank isn't entering the twilight of his career yet but he's doing the exact same thing, trying to prove to UFC that he can easily generate publicity, good or bad, that would make himself a sell for PPV's.
Anybody know this guy? Nick Ring?

WEC booked June 20th for Calgary I saw on sportsnet.
Good WEC event overall, have to say there were plenty of surprises though on the card. Benevidas > Torres, Cruz > Bowles just to name the biggest two.
Hey, how did Dan Severn do in Calgary last night? 51yrs old!!!
I assume tonights show is going to be a tape delay and not live? James Irvin is coming up on the undercard and it's 7pm but it doesn't air until 9pm on sportsnet.
His bjj is top notch....he can roll with and sub blackbelts.Originally posted by TKRIS
