Did GSP lose? What is happening with UFC 69? Update please! Thanks.

    GO FLAMES GO!

Edit: After submitting this reply I read another and realize that he lost. I can't believe it and it will be interesting to hear some details! Wow!
GSP lost in a first round KO in a very bad fight.
Diego has also lost his first fight as a professional in the UFC.
This is an unbelievable night for Serra. He was a HUGE underdog.

Serra will fight GSP in a rematch I'm sure of it and Kos will be next in line. I hope Kos gets KTFO soon though cuz him and Diego pricks.

Dont forget Hughes, hes in line somewhere.
THe bad blood between serra/hughes will be great!!

I am literally speechless about GSP, I feel so bad for the guy.

Kos/Diego, well, I didnt really care how it happened, but im glad Diego got shut up.

Props to Leonard Garcia for a great fight with Huerta, prime example of the talent coming into the sport

I cant see Serra getting a can, it just wont happen.
Its possible he may fight Kos next and GSP/Hughes, the winner fights the champ.

Who knows, the way the UFC is going, anything is possible.

    So which is it?
The world including GSP underestimate Serra or did Serra come out training at beyond max and is he now a true fighter in the UFC? I really think he has the potential to hold the belt for awhile. GSP is a great fighter along with Hughes so this division is shaping up to be REALLY nice. Put Gomi into the mix and we're gonna have a war for the belt.

I think it'll be Serra fighting GSP in a rematch because they'll want a GSP and Hughes rematch to be for the belt again. If not then it'll be GSP fighting Hughes for contention.

Serra beating GSP by KO in Round 1 for the belt
Sokoudjou beats AND knocks out Nog
    Nick Diaz beating Gomi
    Couture killing Sylvia
    Hendo knocking out Wanderlei
Cro Cop and Big Nog signing to UFC
    Feritta Brother's buying out PrideFC

Cro Cop in a tap out loss to Gonz?

2007 has definitely brought out great shocking fights and events it can only get better with the merger.

big upset, i think GSP simply underestimated Serra and he thought he could sit on the belt.

Anyways, i get the impression that kos will fight hughes for #1 contender and GSP will have to fight at least one more before he gets his title shot again.

^ I agree, I see Kos taking on Hughes for title shot and GSP having to face a defalted Diego maybe as step one of two towards his next shot. Get Gomi there!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not shocking at all. Arona a GREAT fighter but Sokoudju is coming up strong and hungry. I honestly thought Sok. had a GREAT chance of winning. I however do not see him becoming an elite fighter. He is however a BTT-Killer. Who is next on the team to get KO'd by this guy?
Too bad Big Nog went to UFC.

The MMA World is so exciting these days. Match ups that nobody knows that will win because everyone is just evolving so strongly and quickly.

man i caught that fight it was upsetting, the kos/diego fight was so boring, but the huerta and grove fights were good.

so upsetting that gsp lost but there was some slips i saw and he got caught in it. I would think hughes is the next in line but i guess we'll see.

    Wow.
Weekend full of upsets. I'm glad I don't put money on these fights.

I continue to be impressed with Sokoudjou. What an incredible sprawl, balance, and agility for a guy that size (Judoka, FWIW). He's walking through the Brazilian Top Team, and I want to see how he'll fair in the future. If his ground game is as good as his standup, this guy is going to be a beast.
I'd like to see him fight Shogun, but I think Shogun is more than due for a title shot, so let's see Shogun/Hendo and Silva/Sokoudjou.

Arona perpetually has an excuse for everything. It looks like he's blaming it on a cold this time.

I can't believe Butterbean won a fight via keylock!!

Don Frye is still my hero.

    Goodbye DSE-run Pride.

It's impossible to hate on Matt Serra. Good for him.

Cummo is a solid fighter, and a weird dude...

I still think Koscheck is a boring fighter.

    I still don't like Sanchez.

Having Minotauro in the UFC should make for some interesting fights.

Looks like Baroni's still being Baroni.

He'd fucking better not be in jail and miss the Shamrock fight in June, because if he does, Frank will make sure we never hear the end of it.

EDIT: Yeah, I know it's candy ass shit, but I thought it was interesting none-the-less.

    Butterbean submission

GSP definitely DID slip BUT it wasnt his night. Serra looked confident and strong and deserved the win.

Sokoudjou is looking impressive but against fighters like Chuck and Wandy I dont think he'd do to well. I still stand by what I say that he is and will be a great fighter but not champion material. I wouldnt be surprised however if he proved me wrong.

Don Frye has the best chin in the MMA game and deserves respect. The guy doesnt know defense and only knows how to throw bombs and put on amazing fights.

Baroni is an idiot. Last I heard about this idiot is that he was back to living in his car because his ex-wife sued and got everything. Looks like he'll be living in jail sooner or later.
