Steven Seagal reinvents the front kick. What's so different about that kick? I'll have to look at it frame by frame.

There is nothing different about it, its a teep to the face, Pretty amazing he can get it so high with that kind of power tho. He landed the same kick on dan henderson but hendo didn't get kod.

You do know that means you'd have to bet $100 just to make $30 right? Most of the money was on Vitor at around 2.5 to 1.Originally posted by Mitsu3000gt
Fairly predictable card IMO, but I enjoyed it. If I were in vegas I'd have been comfortable betting a shit ton on Silva given the odds (-130). I bet a lot of people made good money tonight.
Very disappointing the fight ended so early, but I guess it's better than a 5 round snoozfest.
Bones v Shogun should be highly entertaining, when Shogun got in the cage he looked about a foot shorter than Jones lol.
Michael Scott: "Do I want to be feared or loved? Um... easy, both. I want people to be afraid of how much they love me."
bones jones is like a young anderson silvia i hope he beats shogun
Umm, are you sure about your calculations for Silva's odds there?Originally posted by PGTze

How I see those odds are, you have to bet 130 to make 100. What you described sounds like a 3 to 1 over dog. I can be mistaken, but to make 30 dollars with a 100 dollar bet, wouldn't Silva have to be at -3XX?
If it was -130 then yes you are correct, Betting 130 would net a 100$ profit. Although he wasn't a -130 underdog, more like -225.
That kick was amazing, my jaw literally hit the floor. I wish it was more of a war, but ill take a ko like that.
wait what? Seagal taught him that kick?
Lol yup - apparently he did. I think it's hilarious.Originally posted by jsn

On another note I don't think bones Jones has a chance in hell of beating Shogun unless his knees are all fucked up again like before. He is not in the Machida/Shogun caliber of fighters at all IMO.
you maybe right or he may be better Machida/Shogun time will tell short time to get ready for the fightOriginally posted by Mitsu3000gt

Jones will definitely take Shogun to the ground (with ease), it'll be interesting to see how his ground game matches up against one of the better BJJ black belts in the division.
If Shogun is in shape like when he fought Machida the second time he will knock Jones' head clean off his shoulders.
Yup, exactly. That fight depends 100% on how Shogun has recovered from yet another surgery. Bones Jones doesn't have a chance against the Shogun we've seen in the two Machida fights.Originally posted by Wildcat

^ +1, f'ing badass. That photogs career just got made lol.
The prelims were slightly better than the main card. Awesome to see Cerrone (should've been on the main card) and Miguel Torres stretch their legs in the octagon. Fucking Aldo and Henderson will be at the UFC 129 in Toronto, including GSP, Machida, Couture, Diaz. SICK!! Aldo v Hominik should be good.
Bader was a nobody just the UFC's hype attempt to create a white american poster boy who's a similar age to Jones. Jones has fought NOBODY and doesn't truely deserve a titleshot. A win over two big names then yes, but not now. I've liked Jones since his debut and saw the natural talent that he had, but I want to see Shogun beat him up and take him out.
haha nice. good ol Hendo, he was the man.Originally posted by TheCheff

Machida/Couture is going to be a joke. I love Machida but I think that fight will be incredibly un-entertaining. Just a severe beat down of the old man, I predict.
I think franklin and gurgel spend more time rolling around together then in the gym.
A cold beer says Couture beats Machida.Originally posted by Mitsu3000gt

Haha we will see...I don't think Couture will be able to hold Machida against the cage for 3 rounds and get a decision victory as he often does. He's too elusive.Originally posted by 89coupe

Perhaps, but after his past few performances he might need to step up and shy away from him elusive game plan.Originally posted by Mitsu3000gt

If he keeps that elusive technique up, UFC is going to pull a Machida on him; His career eluding him.
