Default Skyline GT-R to Europe and North America

I don't know what to think. From the Swedish evening paper website www.aftonbladet.se

Vrooom...mmm... most people who have driven the japanese supercars in "Gran Turismo" have probably dreamt about having a real one in their garage. And now the car companies are noticing the demand from the west.

Nissan has decided to launch the Skyline GT-R on wide front in Europe and USA, and Mitsubishi is letting its extreme Lancer Evolution VII roll out in USA. Both cars have nearly 300hp.

    - There is no doubt about it that "Gran Turismo" played a very large part in our decision to bring Lancer Evolution to USA, says Takashi Kiushi of Mitsubishi.

Is this the R34 GT-R they are talking about? Did I miss something?!

This is the G35 based Skyline that we'll be seeing in a year or 2. Totally different from the R32-R34 series that's been introduced over the last decade and a half.

The R34 ceased production with the R34 GT-R Nur Special Edition.

I personally like the R32's. The lightest of them all!

Ah thanks Rage. Is the G35 really designated "GT-R" outside of North America though?

Overweight cars are not so attractive

It will be when the GT-R variant will be released. It won't be called the G35 at all, just "GT-R".

    1989 R32's are kinda rare.

i have a friend that lives close to me that owns two of those

he also owns a R33 and R34... he's japanese and his dad works for Nissan Motor Co. USA

yea and rage is pretty much right. the G35 coupe is a Skyline GT-8 which is a luxury version of the skyline.

Yah my personal fave is the R33 as well...those are hot ass cars!!

It's such a shame they weren't initially brought over to North America but when the car is a borderline race car that would probably not pass crash or safety inspections it's to be expected!

If I had the chance to bring just one car over from Japan it would be the R33 or the R34!
