    Default Movie Review Thread

Anyone watch the latest movies? I figured this would be a good way for us to recommend or advise against watching certain movies that are in theatres.

Today I watched "Gangs of New York". All i gotta say is what a terrible movie that was! I sat there for almost three hours watching the most boring movie I have ever sat through!

There was really no point to the movie, I kept asking myself when it was going to get any good, and im soooooo pissed off at paying $8.50 to sit through that crap.

    Any recommendations for good movies?

    Has anyone seen Equilibrium? http://www.apple.com/trailers/miramax/equilibrium.html

Any comments?? It looks like Matrix meets Minority Report, but it still looks pretty interesting.

In fact, is it even anywhere in Calgary?

    I suggest:

    "AUDITION "
    http://www.rogersvideo.ca/movie.asp?mid=23031

you can rent it at Blockbuster, japanese movie. (Assuming this version is the same as the jap. version). Most disturbing movie I seen ever.

Gangs of New York was like that.

Lots of sick gore, ruthless 1700 style killings (clubbing, hangings etc) but after a full 24 hours, im still left to wonder what this storyline was about.
