    Default Speakers + amp

I'm trying to decide what speakers and amp to go with... I have the bass in order

Thinking of the Infiniti Kappa's for speakers but I'm not so sure what amp to go with, was thinking of getting another phoenix gold tantrum, probably the 400.4

i'm actually pretty happy with the t12d despite it's relativly small excursion, definatly more than enough bass for a small truck cab

anyways speaker sizes upfront a 4"x6" and 7" native for the doors, but i'll probably get adapters for 6 1/2"

gonna buy a new deck too to replace my pioneer, gotta have my MP3s!

i was complementing ur subs.. ahha i used to work for international stereo.. i would love to crank those pg subs.. anyways.. infinity kappa 4x6 is only 180 watts max.. adn those are probably the best 4x6s infinity makes.. and the 6.5 speakers are 225 watts max.. u might be over powerin ur speakers..
get an alpine mp3 deck.. trust me they are worth it
where are u buyin ur infinity stuff from

Dunno where I'll buy it from, haven't decided really. Maybe mail-order, get em cheaper since I'm doing the install myself.

Yeah, I know you were complimenting on the subs, it's a great sub for the money.

I dunno what you mean by overpowering the speakers, if I were to use the PG T400.2 it's only 50W per channel which should be just fine

the KAPPA62.5I's are 75W RMS with a 225w peak and the KAPPA462.5CFP's are 60W RMS with a 180w peak as you said.

i'm a car audio newbie here... but unless i'm missing something that should be fine?

I'd probably go components but I'm worried about cutting out the door panels to mount the tweeters, plus I think i'll just buy a crossover anyways.

if you want the best go with blaupunkt overdrives ...fairly expensive but they sound amazing, or go with focal's.

I have the Kappa 62.5I 's, I've had them for about 3 months now and currently they're just running off my deck for power so they're DEFINETLY underpowered and not really getting clear crisp power to them but they still sound KICKASS!!

I can't wait till I actually get my Kappa 6x9s and amp to power those and the 6.5's...then it'll be great sounding! But it's true...Kappa's aren't your best bet if you're looking for bass from a set of coax's.

I have Alpine sws 4x6 in my S10 and they are awesome. They are capped at 200hz's and are just running off the deck. They are all the treble I need in a reg cab truck with a 12 behind the seat. Theyt are amazingly clear. Ask silverEL about them. He has heard it.

I drive a first gen so all i have for highs is the alpines. There is a JL 12W0 and 2 kenwood 8" mid drivers behind the seat. There is no room left.
