Alright... So an SUV can win 'Truck of the year' but yet everywhere else (insurance rates, emissions, etc etc) they are their own class. Riiiight...

There are very few SUVs out now that are actually still built on a truck chassis, and most of them suck.

Most of the newer SUV's and van's are built off of car chassis.

The link doesn't seem to be working for me. But, if I recall the XC90 is the new Volvo SUV right? If so, from what I've seen I really like them. I'm actually beginning to seriously looking into getting a Volvo for my next car. Anyone I've ever talked to raved about their Volvo.

This is one of the few SUV's I'd actually consider buying if i had the money.

The base engine is the new standard one from volvo, a 2.5 I-5 with low pressure turbo and intercooler, good for 208HP and around 240 tq at a low 1500 rpm

You can upgrade to the T6 though (the S80 engine) which is a 2.9L twin turbo I-6, good for 270 Hp and 280 Tq, which also comes below 2000 rpm

Volvo makes great cars, I'm considering getting rid of the daytona and getting a 240 from the late 80's

    I'm looking for a 98+ S70 T5 turbo or 98+ R70 wagon.

If I wanted a new SUV, the XC90 would definately be near the top of my list
