I think I fried a mb via static discharge while bring it home - any suggustions as to what to diagnose?
Everything powers up and I can hear the post count but no video showing either on the AGP or PCI .

might be your vid card? if you get the post count i don't think you did anything bad to your mobo...

Usually during the POST, you'll hear some beeps. If there's no beep or if there's multiple beeps, it means something could be wrong. Your MB manual should have a description of what the error condition is based on the number of beeps.

Are you sure the video card is completely seated? I had a board that would post, though the video card was..not really out but loose. Sometimes it would work sometimes it wouldn't.

I get the post count but no beeps. Both cards work fine.
I might try a hot bios swap and see if this cures anything. Doubtfull
Hmm I might have missed something in the manual about no beeps.

Thanks of the suggustions looks like it's a gonner.
Memory is good. I've swapped in 128, 256 and 512.
Just tested the CPUS and they are fine (phew).
Funny how the old saying if your not bleeding your not working on your car holds true for swapping eeproms
Anyone have an abit VP6 they want to get rid of cheap?
