Is it worth the hassle you will no doubt get by not going in? They probably want to question his friends to see if anyone knows where he is. Personally I'd just go and get it over with, then they will leave you alone.

It's not a crime to miss an appointment. But you should call them up and say you can't make it, and offer to answer the questions over the phone.

Better show up before they think you have something to hide.

If you do have something to hide, stop posting and get out of town.

If I were you I would go in because it looks suspicious if you don't go in and call them to say that you don't feel like it. Its better for you, your friend and them to just take some time and go answer their questions or whatever they want you to do. It will save you from any other problems later.

that doesnt seem like the smartest thing you could have done. Rather the dumbest fucking thing you could have done. I can understand you dont wanna rat on your friend but you went about it completely wrong. You'll probably get burnt for this one!

now hit the road and become a fugitive like your friend

You are incredibly stupid. It seems like you would rather get in trouble with the authorities than make your friend face the crime that he committed.

Face it, your buddy is a low life criminal and you are acting like one for not letting the police know of his whereabouts.

I agree with everyone here, however the police CANNOT do anything to you, unless they get a warrant, in order to get the warrant they need to prove that they have reason to suspect you in a crime or being an accomplice, if you have NOTHING to hide that you have NOTHING to worry about, however if they said we will MAKE you come talk to us, then obviously they have reason and the power to get a warrant for your arrest

Just call up a lawyer and see what your obligations are to go along with them.

scare tatctics by the cops only work if your actually guilty of something, don't make yourself a suspect and avoid the cops sooner or later they will find you, and probably make your life miserable for not cooperating. just say you don't know where he is.

you're still an idiot, why would you tell them you know where he is? why not just tell them you 'have no idea'.

I always thought on CSI and law and order that when idiots confess to crimes and shit for no reason that that never happened in real life. I guess it happens more often then not

I"m suprised that they can't arrest you for withholding information.

theres no law against being stupid, but you are obstructing justice and you were stupid enough to admit it.....you better hope that you can't be charged over this.
