The first time I drove my stang after puting those into it I giggled like a school girl the whole time... I actually had to pull over and stop for a second because I was laughing so hard it wasnt safe for me to drive....

P.S. budget for rear tires every summer.

there is nothing quite like putting higher gears in. I had 4.11s in my old Nova for awhile, holy shit, even with the same motor the pick-up was WAYYY better. plus I could bust out donuts on pavement no problem, without neutral dropping it (when I had the auto) or popping the clutch (when I had a standard in it). unfortunately, I didn't have an OD transmission at any time so it really hurt my mileage even more then the 4 barrel did..

    I've had 3:55's and 4:11's. I really like the 3:55's. 160km/h at 3000rpm.

    You'll love them.

I also recommend you get a short shifter like Pro 5.0. I reeeeally love mine.

LOL! My friend had these gears in his 91 LX, with a couple mods, and it hauled ass. He never got more than 1 season out of his rubber. Having linelock didn't help either.

when cut open, the rambutan unfortunately fails miserably to deviate from its outwardly testicular appearance, revealing an inside that looks for all the world exactly how you'd expect the contents of a scrotum to look.

    $259 for the gears
    $95 for the install kit
    From Mopac...
Its closer than driving out to Western Motor Sports who had the full package (gears + install kit) for $359!

The difference with the gears will be huge. If you have an auto, it will be even more significant. I had an AOD stang (which eventually got a C4) and it was basically stock. It would spin the tires a bit in first but after putting in the 4.10's, it would spin through first, second and third. Night and day difference!

BTW, mustang gearing can be 2.73 which is most common, some 5spds came with 3.08 and you could get some autos with 3.27.
