Is the slk 32 amg maxed out...or can it go faster?

after seeing kenny up against that mustang I'm just wondering..is it common for benz amg owners to modify the cars even further to make them really fast. Are there more parts available from amg or any other manufacturer to bring these cars into the 12's . 11's or 10's...i've never seen a dragged out mercedes so I'm just wondering if it has been done

Renntech has Pulley/Exhaust/ECU upgrades, about $10K cdn after all is said and done. It gives about 420hp. ECU/Pulley alone will bring the car up to 400hp.

You won't kill Vipers (450hp or 460hp) with those mods. You'll match 'em.

There is actually one more step after pulley/chip/exhaust, which is the 3.8L conversion, and that'll bump up the final figure to 490hp

you dont think it would take out a viper...kenny's running 13.5 with what 330 hp??...420 would most likely bring him into the low 12's would it not

I noticed Renntech doesn't have the exhaust listed in the SLK 32 page. Is that a C32 only exhaust?

You have to remember the SLK is traction limited. The max I can go is 255 in the rears for rubber. The viper has much less problem getting the power to the road with 335s in the rear. This isn't really a drag car anyway, so I'm not overly concerned with power mods but I do hope to get a bit more power out of it in the future, we'll see.
