    Default Star Wars episode 0

Great news for 'Star Wars' fans - a seventh blockbusting film is being planned for the series.

Lucas had previously said current movie 'Revenge of the Sith' was to be the last.

Now it appears he has changed his mind and is developing a prequel to 'The Phantom Menace'.

A movie insider said: "George believes there are even more stories to tell.
"His latest idea would feature an almost all-new cast, apart from the Jedi master Yoda, who would be the hero of the new movie.".

The film would be set 100 years before the current movies.

Making Yoda, the tiny green Jedi master, the hero would be a popular move with 'Star Wars' fans.

The character, voiced by Frank Oz, trained Luke Skywalker to defeat Darth Vader and is a cult hero among devotees.

Lucas does not need money after the success of the first six films and will try and take a back-seat throughout production.

i know the george lucas has said that he wasnt going to make any more movies after the 6th one, but i think it would be cool to see more star wars movies, with new characters.

if he actually steps off and lets a real director make it, it could be a very good movie... the best of all the Star Wars was Empire Strikes Back and that is the one Lucas had the least to do with.

It seems George Lucas told a scooper that he has an idea for another add-on to the Star Wars movie series: a prequel to The Phantom Menace.

The story would follow the Jedi regaining control of the universe from the many Dark Lords some 88 years before Anakin Skywalker ever graced the universe.

Yoda, who, according to Lucas, was instrumental in the effort, would apparently have a headlining role.

However, Lucas, now age 60, says he won't be captaining such a ship if it ever happens.

    link

guess its just a rumour but an interesting one.

Why would they? Seems to me everything has been resolved and there is peace in the galaxy

This sounds sweet if they don't make Yoda talk in reverse too much

If it is a rumor, it was probably created to prevent mass suicide by the Star Wars junkies not knowing what to do with their lives after seeing the "final" one.

In related news: "Two British Star Wars fans sustained critical injuries after constructing their own light sabers from fluorescent light tubes filled with liquid fuel. [They] suffered severe burns when their homemade sabers exploded. The Force--let alone common sense--was definitely not with them. "

My opinion, this is what I can see for Episode 7

All the Jedi's are in hiding, Darth vader is probably just lounging around pinching peoples neck with the dark force and Little Skywalker being potty trained in the desert while Leiah is spoiled rotten in a castle. Jedi Master Obi One, getting old spying on the Skywalker twins.

I reallt can't see the next episode being a block buster. There is no meat in the story.

I thought the Dark Lords were extinct for about a 1000 years prior to the Phantom Menace? If you think back in episode 1 when Yoda and Mace Windu were talking.

That would be along my thinking, but at the same time I can't really see them continuing the Darth Vader storyline because they may overkill it. But if they continue along those lines, I'd like to see wannabe-rebels try to squash Vader only to fail miserably. That'd be kinda interesting. Especially if they focus more on the aspect of how Young Emotional Vader we saw at the end of Ep 3 became the Old Ruthless Vader in Eps 4-6.

I sound like such a nerd.

well basically episode 0 will cover the story of yoda becoming a hero before episode I, and there will be a live action tv series coming out aprox. fall 2006 that bridges the 20 years or so between episode III, revenge of the sith, and episode IV, star wars a new hope. george lucas will be handing over the reigns of the tv show to some one else and only stay on as an exec. producer.

It'll funny if the series turns into O.C. with Star Wars characters. hahaha
