Yah I'm not a fan of the music myself, I didn't mind watching the ad once to figure out what it is for, the show, but evertyime I come here and listen to it, it gets quite anoying. I'm going to assume its flash and not a movie or something, so then build a little soundbar on a bottom corner or something that starts at mute, and people can turn up and listen to if they enjoy it, or use cookies and have a click button that says always mute.

I agree with sputnik here, too much low res low quality girls, not enough about the cars. After all this is supposed to be a CAR show, not a hooker show, why would you be portraying a bunch of girls dressed minimally, sure some guys like it, but for CAR enthusiasts this is a CAR show we come to see CARS, not girls, its ruining the image of a car show. Back in the old muscle car era with cruises every friday night and sunday nights and such, 100 cars would show up with the guys/girls driving, and there wifes/gfs/freinds would optionally come, dressed in a way to bring attention to the car possibly, but it wasn't focused around the girls. Same with the bikini contests, I know you all like them but are you here for a car show or are you here to see a bunch of uglies in their bikinis, because you could goto the beach and find nicer ladies without paying.

It actually annoys me a little too, but beyond does have to pay for their costs and I don't mind, this forum is free and I get allot of enjoyment out of it.

I think however, the easiest way to fix this problem is to just take out the sound, and I believe that 95% of us who don't like the ad very much will be happy campers.

Yeah, as stated many times before, the poor quality sound and video were the downfall of the ad.

IMO, having a video stream within the Flash file is somewhat unneccessary. It could be replaced with a much better (and cleaner) profile of the models and the cars and whatnot. Plus, adding a "Mute" function into a Flash movie is fairly easy. Heck, you could even link thumbnails of the profiled cars to their photo galleries. The same could be done for the models, if that's the focus here.

Just because it 'got my attention' it wasn't the good type of attention, that they probably wanted. I noticed that: it's loud, obnoxious, and the design/concept is weak. Those aren't good things. Both times that logged on today, I clicked right around it --- so that's not very good advertising.

You're supposed to get the viewer to like the ad and click on it. This ad doesn't do it for me.

So as far getting my attention, all it did was make me get away from the front page as soon as possible, AND I really didn't want to click on it 'cause I didn't want any more of the cheezy crap where this ad came from.

i just watched the ad for the first time and what really got me was the fact that half of that was models, i couldnt see or hear them, then it jumps to hot cars, oh man, so and so's jgtc inspired widebody nsWHAT THE FUCK, just jumped to the next car, wtf was that? a skyline? wish i couldve seen it longer....oh wait, just missed two more cars

its a car show, i want to see cars, if i want to see hot chicks ill pick up a porno mag, or just look online, fuckin ask leo, i want to see cars, i come here, if i want to see women ill go someplace else, like here.

problem that I had with it was i would hear this loud annoying sound before anything was even displayed on the page in IE. so i started skipping the main page.
