I'd like to ask the sticker price of the model driven, as well as the 0-60 times, and braking distances etc. I think this was a fantastic review, as was the Mazda's, but since this is a performance car I feel you need to include performance figures.

All in all, you do have an aptitude for car reveiws... keep it up!

PS... I still wanna see the STi reveiw

    Saweet!!

The interior looks great, no doubt about it! What about the exterior styling? Could you elaborate further... Did you feel it looked a little plain? You know, computer generated/wind tunnel sculpted? was it sexy? (the photo would suggest not)

putting me to work, aren't you!

Styling will always be one of the most debated aspects of any car - because it's subjective. From a personal point of view I feel that the exterior styling is far from perfect, but more than adequate. In general, I am a little dissapointed in the direction styling (on all cars) is heading in. I've always preffered a longer nose, straighter lines and a longer wheel base. However, since we are moving into the future where compactness is always an issue, I believe that Honda managed quite well, to address the changes without dropping style. IMO, the RSX-S, performance aside, could've used a longer nose, slightly longer wheel base and a wider stance. I think the OEM body kit is quite well done although it is very plain (as most OEM parts by Honda are), but could be better, and you that you couldn't ask for a much nicer set of OEM rims. While I wouldn't call the car sleek, it does carry itself very well. There is always room for improvement, through future Honda releases or aftermarket. But that'll be subjective, as always.

Ha ha, yes I'm making you work, but It's only cuz I'm interested - and you do a good job of being unbiased. Not an easy task for any car owner!

    I try!
I don't know if loving cars in general makes it easier or harder to be unbiased .

Going by the numbers posted, the Cobalt SS has all of those beat, not by much, and for $10K less.

I give the nod to the RSX on looks and refinement. Plus my car has a way higher chance of falling apart in 2 years. God I hope this is the beggining of a new era for GM though.. I'll find out I guess.

EDIT: I paid $10K less. Sticker is 8K less.

Decent review, but I disagree with the unbiased part. I'll probably get shit on for this but oh well. An unbiased review would explore some of the negative aspects of the car. You spent the entire review telling us how good it is and how much you love it but you made no mention of price until much later in the thread. For $34,000+ it should have best in class interior. Heck, it should have best in class everything.

I don't dount it's a great car, but I question whether it's a great value. I also challenge it's billing as a sports car. Most (all?) sports cars would wipe the floor with the RSX-S. It's a gussied up sport compact with some balls, and will keep value better than average.

Again, I think it's a good car and I like them, but IMO it's not a great value.

I agree a bit as $34000+ is a lot for a car that is really a dollied up Civic. The styling is far too dull also and when the new civic comes out with just as much power, who is going to buy even a late model RSX typeS used? It is a very solid car though as it really ins't bad in any category but for the money there are better performance buys for sure. Honda has to start getting more aggresive with their powetrains to keep up to the competition. They either have to go with a forced induction 4-cyl or a potent 6-cyl with the next car as they have pretty well tapped out what they can do with an N/A 4-cyl.

if ur gonna buy an rsx, dont settle for a base/premium... i chose the wrong one.. the type s is definately a good buy.. its a good fast car with alot of nice options.... however if u do decide to go stupid fast with this car... be prepared to pay tons of money.
