redirect problems using IE?

I've been having a problem with my internet explorer. my IE doesn't seem to want to redirect. when i go to yahoo and click on games, if i choose something like text twist, it won't redirect me towards that page. i'm using winXP i've never had this problem before on my old comp, also running winxp, but i got this new comp, did a fresh install of XP and started to get this problem. can someone help me?
