Lookin for a condo.

People, I need to buy a condo or house. Anyone know any good people to deal with or any nice places out there? Its my 1st place so nothing over $160k. Just a nice 1 or 2 bed/1 bathroom place.

best bet, to save yourself a lot of hassle is to go through a realtor. They have access to all the new listings all the time and will do all the footwork for you. Just tell them exactly what you told us and they'll have a bunch of options for you by the end of the day.

The only difference b/n them and for sale by owner is they get a cut of the sale price .. that doesn't usually mean the price of a house through a realtor is more $$ .. just that the home owner gets less. i.e. two houses both worth $160k, would go for that, except the owner would only get $150k through a realtor.

If you do want to find one yourself, check the paper every day (try online www.canada.com).

Also check www.homebase.ca (though they still have realtors)

I bought a condo From Point of View,Brand new one too, It was pretty cheap (98K) 980 sq ft and 2 full baths 2 bedrooms. I bought it in airdrie but they sell all over calgary, it was my first home as well , went very smoothly nothing bad to say about them.
