Default i need horsepower. someone help me out

i have a 95 civic coupe, i have rims, cai, headers and a catback exhaust.. unfortunately my car is a dx not si and is still quite slow. i have about a thousand dollars saved up and i am wondering what i should do next?

anyone have any thoughts on intake manifolds? what kind of power do they give you?

i dont want to swap my engine or anything , but i need to make some more power. if you have any suggestions let me know!

Save up more and get a turbo kit. Best bang for the buck.

Well let me be the first to tell you that all those bolt ons are pretty much a waste of time. With the money you spent on all that you coulda turboed it and got more than the 10whp you got from those three mods. N/A power on Civics costs mucho dinero.

DON'T buy the intake manifold. Keep saving...

A 240 isn't anything to brag about without spending big bucks either...

A thousand dollars WILL get you a swap from JDM source if you do it right. You can get the Si engine and tranny (which has much better gearing) and you'll get another 20HP on top. Or you could add another 7-800 and get a B18b swap, which is 140hp + a whole lot more torque than your car has now.

Haha the 50lb weight reduction will get you 0.05s in the 1/4 mile and boosting octane will make the pathetic d15 run even slower. I know of someone with turbocharged d15 that runs 14s. Unreliable as hell and it took him awhile to get shit sorted out though.

Man, you need an engine swap.

The 1.5L won't make any power.

wasting your time if your looking for performance out of a honda.

    get something else.

I have spent less than 3000$ on my car (including purchase price) and I am running 13's....

but if you must keep the honda....

I would suggest maybe a 75 shot of nitrous....it might be able to handle it...

go to best-buy performance for super cheap nitrous kits.

    Screw nitrous go turbo.
"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear. The traitor is the plague.”

Nitrous kits are for idiots and i seriously mean it, you want your car to be able to make the power not the nitrous.

Seriously sell your 3 cars, but a decently shaped 240sx, if you can find one, and swap in an SR20. You'll have cash left over. Not to mention a smile that wont ever leave your face.
