    Default Cleaning the engine bay

What do you guys use to clean under the hood? is there a spray that cleans everything, including hoses, or do you have to wash it all separately?

I've used some engine degreaser, can of spray you can pick up at Crappy Tire.

Cleans the engine and components pretty good. Spray on and rinse off. EZ

But for painted parts, like the underhood or sides of the engine bay, I would use an old washing mitt and car soap. The degreaser stuff might strip the paint.

I would use the CD2 Engine Detial kit from crappy tire, or if you just looking to clean it up, use the Castrol Super Clean Degreaser. We used this many times in the shop for engine shampoos.. The good part about it.. its biodegradable, so safe if you use it on your driveway

Castrol Super Clean is amazing stuff, I use it for lots including the engine bay.

    I think 4L is about 17 bucks a NAPA.

Isn't that the stuff you clean bongs with? Maybe I'm thinking of something else
