Question increasing piston and valve size

i am looking into getting the block bored out 0.02 at the machine shop.
its gonna cost 35 for each cylinder and sumthing like 40 for new pistons... and the cost of port polish new piston rings and pinning in the new piston head...

it'll cost a grand or so, does anyone have any experience with this modifcation and its level of engine output improvement?

It is more like you are refeshing your existing motor to be close to original output. I would not expect huge gains, if any over stock performance. Port and polish has a very small improvement if it is done correctly, you'll lose intake velocity if it is done too much.
    Thats my $0.02
